Author Appearances

I’m delight­ed to speak to stu­dents, edu­ca­tors, librar­i­ans, par­ents, and those who would like to write for chil­dren and teens.

I have a good deal of expe­ri­ence as a vis­it­ing author in schools, and I’m hap­py to do assem­blies, class­room vis­its, and/or writ­ing workshops.

In my work­shops for edu­ca­tors, I train teach­ers to present my copy­right­ed writ­ing mate­ri­als to their stu­dents, or I can teach oth­er writ­ing-relat­ed sub­jects. My years of teach­ing in the MFA pro­gram at Ver­mont Col­lege of Fine Arts have pro­vid­ed me with lots of ideas and experience

I love pre­sent­ing to SCBWI and oth­er writ­ing orga­ni­za­tions, either as a keynot­er, work­shop leader, break­out speak­er, or panelist.
